Colorado Programs
This site provides a gateway to organizations working with restorative practices in Boulder County, Colorado. The Colorado Forum on Community and Restorative Justice exists to foster understanding and implementation of restorative community justice principles and values. We collaborate with communities, organizations, foundations, the criminal justice system and state leadership to work for safe and healthy communities.
Restorative Justice Youth Conferencing (RJYC) is available for the resolution of crimes committed by some youth (ages 10-18). Instead of going through the traditional criminal justice system, the youth offender participates in a community conference.
The Colorado School Mediation Project (CSMP), founded in 1987, is a regional nonprofit organization with national connections that is dedicated to creating safe, caring and just communities where conflicts are resolved productively and differences are valued. CSMP works with educators, administrators, youth organizations and school communities to design, implement and evaluate a conflict resolution education program for their site.
Longmont Community Justice Partnership (Teaching Peace) represents an association of community and governmental agencies combining our resources to provide restorative justice services for our community. We invite you to explore these links to find out more about who we are and the work that we do.
The Conflict Research Consortium at the University of Colorado is a joint university-community program that unites researchers, educators, and practitioners from many fields for the purposes of theory-building, testing, disseminating, and applying new management techniques to address difficult, long-term, and intractable conflicts.
